Skin Types
Knowing the type of skin you have is important. If you know your skin type, then you know how to choice the right skin products and maintain the younger look. There are 4 classifications of skin types listed below. See which skin type describe your skin.
Normal Skin
• Appears perfect
• Hydrated, soft and smooth with an even tone
• Contains an average amount of pores
• Functions well and has no excess oil or dryness
• Treatments are designed to maintain good skin health and guard against the aging process
Oily Skin
• A result of over-active sebaceous glands
• Exhibits an excess of sebum and oil production
• Pores are enlarged with blockages and comedowns
• Can be recognized by its shiny, thick appearance
• Less inclined to fine lines
• Treatment for oily skin is to balance but not over-treat
Dry Skin
• A result of under-active sebaceous glands
• The skin's barrier is disturbed
• Characterized by very fine, overly delicate, think skin
• Pores are almost invisible
• The skin may feel rough
• Tends to age quicker and is often filled with tiny superficial lines
• Treat dry skin with care because of its disposition for damage. Introduce ingredients that will gently brush away dead skin cells, hydrate and hold moisture in the skin
Combination Skin
• Most of the population is combination
• The skin has 2 different types
• Normal to dry
